In Winnsboro last night, a high school football player died after reportedly breaking his neck after taking a hit while returning a punt. Tyrell Cameron, a sophomore for the Franklin Parish Patriots, was rushed to a local hospital where he passed away from his injury. The school is asking for Louisiana residents to pray for his family.
It’s been a tough year for Louisiana law enforcement, as six officers have been fatally shot while on duty. But a Baton Rouge waitress showed her support for the men in blue by buying lunch for three BRPD officers and her kind note to the policemen has gone viral on facebook. Lt. A state judge is putting the City of New Orleans on notice and threatening to place Mayor Mitch Landrieu on house arrest if they don’t cough up firefighters back pay. The city’s firefighters union claims New Orleans owes them more than $140 million dollars. Landrieu says that kind of money would cripple the city…:
