The LSU AgCenter is asking gardeners to look for a small insect called a chilli thrips which can feed on the young, tender parts of many plants. The pest damages new growth and they’re most obvious and prolific on roses. LSU AgCenter horticulturist Allen Ownings says to see if a plant is infected, place a white piece of paper under the plant, shake it, and see what falls on the paper…
