La Tech quarterback Evan Bullock threw five touchdowns and ran for another on Thursday as the Bulldogs trounced Middle Tennessee 48 to 21. Tech is at New Mexico State on Tuesday. The Aggies are 1-and-5.

Louisiana Tech defended its home turf last night with a dominating 48 to 21 Conference USA victory over struggling Middle Tennessee team. The Bulldogs had a season-high 551 total yards and quarterback Evan Bullock accounted for six touchdowns, five of them through the air.

Evangel quarterback Pop Houston threw for 767 yards and accounted for ten touchdowns, but the Eagles still lost last night as Captain Shreve outscored Evangel 77 to 76 in overtime.

ULM football is 4-1 for the first time since 1993 and the Warhawks are preparing to host Southern Miss tomorrow afternoon for Homecoming. The Warhawks are 2-0 in the Sun Belt, but Coach Bryant Vincent says this team has yet to accomplish any of its goals…

The NCAA Division One Council has approved the elimination of the National Letter of Intent Program. It will be replaced by a new financial aid agreement and revenue share contract. A new document is needed because of a federal case that will result in revenue sharing starting with the 2025-26 school year.

The Philadelphia Eagles have released former LSU and North Webster star linebacker Devin White. White has not played a single snap this season. He was beat out for a starting job  by Nakobe Dean. The 26-year-old won a Super Bowl with Tampa Bay and is a former second-team All Pro performer.

The former Acadiana star has only rushed for 59 yards on 19 carries.

The over-under is 63.5 points and the Rebels are 3.5 point favorite.

 

ULM has been an underdog all season long, but this Saturday the Warhawks are a 6.5 point favorite to beat Southern Miss. ULM is 4-and-1, 2-and-0 in the Sun Belt, while the Golden Eagles are 1-and-4 and lost their Sun Belt opener to the Ragin Cajuns last week.

 

UL Lafayette is a 10.5 point favorite to beat Appalachian State on Saturday night. The Mountaineers are off to an 0-and-2 start in the Sun Belt.
