LSU Football Coach Ed Orgeron says the offense dominated in the team’s second preseason game of training camp on Saturday. Derius Guice rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown, while Darrel Williams added 76 yards and a couple of touchdowns. Quarterbacks Danny Etling and Myles Brennan each threw for over 100 yards. Quarterback Drew Brees slammed his helmet down to the ground at one point as a result of a high snap and a blown assignment on protection. High snaps have been a common theme as starting center Max Unger continues to recover from foot surgery.
Jacksonville has shut down former LSU running back Leonard Fournette because of a nagging foot injury. Fournette is not expected to participate in practices today and tomorrow. He missed several games last season because of a foot injury.
