Lafayette police say they have arrested a Baton Rouge man in connection with the death of a woman injected with silicone.  23-year-old Brionna Guillory died after allegedly receiving the injections from 33-year-old Vincent Jamal Boles. Lafayette Police Corporal Karl Ratcliff says the silicone traveled throughout Guillory’s body…

The Morning Consult group says that President Donald Trump’s approval ratings have dropped some, but only two percent in Louisiana.  U-L-M  Political Science professor Dr. Joshua Stockley says the drop from a 59 percent approval in January to 57 percent now is not a big deal…

Champion Home Builders announces a manufactured housing production facility will be established in the Vernon Parish town of Leesville. Mayor Rick Allen says these jobs are desperately needed and will provide good wages and benefits to employees. He says after attending a prayer meeting, he received a call from a long lost friend who happened to work for Champion Home builders and the Industrial Park became a topic of conversation.

Monroe-based Flying Tiger Brewery will donate a portion of the revenues from their latest brew, War Hawk, to scholarships through the University of Louisiana Monroe Foundation. Flying Tiger Co-owner Robert Brewer says they want to help ULM because the school doesn’t get the credit it deserves, aside from academics.

He says the project will create 200 direct jobs and 218 indirect jobs.

The Saints have traded running back Adrian Peterson to the Arizona Cardinals for a conditional draft choice. AP was signed by New Orleans in the off season and couldn’t get enough touches over running backs Mark Ingram and rookie Alvin Kamara.

Lafayette police say they have arrested a Baton Rouge man in connection with the death of a woman injected with silicone.  23-year-old Brionna Guillory died after receiving the injections.  Police arrested 33-year-old Vincent Jamal Boles last month in Texas.  Police say Boles gave her the injections after she asked for them, with the most recent injection in Lafayette. Boles is charged with Negligent Homicide and Practicing Medicine without a license.

The University of Louisiana System has set a goal to graduate 150-thousand students by 2025.  U-L System President Jim Henderson says in order to achieve this increase in graduates over the next eight years, partnerships with technical and community colleges are needed to provide ample classroom space for more students. He also adds using technology to our advantage.

Iberville Parish leaders will discuss a proposed law on October 17th that would prevent an individual from damaging or defacing the nation’s or the state’s flag.  Councilman Matthew Jewell says  Iberville Parish is extremely patriotic and the veterans are honored every year.  He doesn’t expect any push back from passing the ordinance.

East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Nick Tullier, who was shot last July during a police ambush, was transferred from a Houston rehabilitation hospital to The Transitional Learning Center in Galveston, Texas. The move to the new facility marks a major step in Nick’s recovery.

Legendary LSU and NFL Quarterback Y-A Tittle has passed away at the age of 90. Tittle played in one of the strangest bowl games, the 1947 Cotton Bowl which L-S-U and Arkansas played in a snowstorm to a scoreless tie. In a 2008 interview with Jim Engster, Tittle talked about the “Ice Bowl”…:

Another person has been fatally shot in East Feliciana Parish. The latest is a well known member of the boy scouts, 48-year-old Brad DeFrancheschi. Three other middle aged white men have been killed since July in a similar, drive by shooting manner. East Feliciana Chief Criminal Deputy Greg Phares says they are aware many residents in the area are concerned:

Lindsay Lohan has suggested on Twitter than she plans to hire a lawyer against Louisiana Senator John Kennedy who suggested last week that giving Equifax a $7.3 million dollar contract to protect the IRS from fraud is like giving minibar keys to the actress. Equifax is under fire after a data breach affected millions, and the comments were made during a Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee.

East Feliciana Parish Sheriff Jeffery Travis says three other middle aged white men have been killed since July in a similar manner and they are receiving assistance from the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office to solve these murders:

The Advocate is reporting that former LSU Head Coach Les Miles will return to Tiger Stadium this Saturday afternoon at the Auburn game to take part in the 10-year-anniversary celebration for the 2007 Championship team. The Mad Hatter said he will join players from the ’07 team during a reunion on the field during halftime. It will be Miles’ first time returning to Death Valley since his firing last season.
