A task force convened by Gov.-elect Jeff Landry met this week to weigh the rollback of 2017 laws aimed at lowering Louisiana’s prison population. Outgoing Governor John Bel Edwards meanwhile warning the incoming administration again against the move. Edwards says it would be a kneejerk political reaction unlikely to yield real results.

Speaking of results, a lot goes into a Heisman campaign, and the LSU Athletic Department claimed a win in 2019 and odds are they will again tomorrow. Brooke Thorington has more.

The Haynesville Golden Tornado have not been to the dome since 2016 and head coach David Franklin sees tonights game as an exciting opportunity for the Haynesville community.

A 15 year old and a forty year old woman have now been arrested in connection to the murder of a man in New Iberia last month. You may recall, an eleven year old girl was arrested November 28^th. Iberia Parish Sheriff’s officials say the latest arrests were made by the Houston Police Department. They’ve both been charged with first-degree. The 15 year old is being held in the Jackson Parish Juvenile Detention Center
