The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and the ULM Warhawks, who both lost games to SEC opponents due to cancellations, will now play each other now this season. Louisiana Tech and ULM will play in Shreveport at Independence Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 21^st.

President Trump announces that starting later this month all states except for Texas and Florida will have to start paying 25 percent of the cost of their National Guard COVID deployments. Governor Edwards penned a letter to President Friday requesting a reversal of the decision.

The newest COVID-19 numbers from the state health department show an increase in deaths by 61 for the day and cases up by 15-hundred. Hospitalizations have decreased by 65 and vent usage down by 8. The state now has record 4,089 deaths from the coronavirus since March.

After missing for four days in the woods an elderly Calhoun man with dementia is found by a neighbor’s pet bloodhound.

85-year-old Kenneth Russell went missing Sunday and by Wednesday morning search crews had no luck. That’s when local realtor Zach Stephens showed up with his dog Ruby and met Russell’s wife. Ruby tracked down Russell in just 34 minutes to a heavily wooded area several hundred yards away from his home.

A Baton Rouge judge backed the Edwards Administration’s bar closure order Thursday, saying the Governor has the legal authority under the public health emergency to keep bars closed.

Once the man was found Stephens called 9-1-1. He was rushed to the hospital and was treated but in good condition.
Stephens says he’s gotten hundreds of emails and calls from around the country thanking Ruby for her service. He says she’s a bit of a celebrity these days.
