Dasher couldn’t pull it out though and the two candidates that made it to the December 6th runoff in the 5th District were family physician Ralph Abraham and Democratic Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo.

And in the 6th Congressional District Race, it’ll be Former Governor Edwin Edwards taking on Garrett Graves on December 6th. Edwards picked up 30% of the vote with Graves getting 27%. Next in that race was Dietzel with 14%.

There’s just a few hours left to cast your ballots, and the US Senate race is the marquee item on the ballot, as Democrat Mary Landrieu is seeking a fourth term. There are some voters we talked to who believe it’s time for a change, while others back Landrieu.

Woodcock was arrested Monday after further investigation from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office showed she was under the influence of drugs when the baby became wedged between a mattress and the wall.

The state department of education says 44-percent of students in the voucher program reached a “basic” achievement level on standardized tests last year. That’s up from 42-percent the year prior. The state also says 23 of the 125 participating voucher schools did not perform well enough to accept new voucher students next year.

They say 54-year-old Sarah F Parker of Sulphur, who made the original 911 call, was developed as a suspect after she apparently told other people the details of the murder. The victim is identified as Pamela Parker.

Polls are open, Election Day is underway, and political pundits believe there will be a runoff in Louisiana’s US Senate race. Analyst Clancy Dubos says if this race goes to a December 6th runoff, it turns into a completely different election…

Dan Claitor, Paul Dietzel, Garret Graves, Craig McCullouch and Lenar Whitney have been the most active and Hogan says they represent different segments of the G-O-P….
