The F-B-I now says the man who drove a rented pickup truck at a high rate of speed down Bourbon Street killing at least 14 others, acted alone and they no longer believe others were involved in the New Orleans terrorist attack. FBI Deputy Assistant Director of Counter Terrorism Christopher Raia says that 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar drove from Houston to New Orleans on Monday posting five videos to his Facebook account during this time.

Raia says Jabbar also said in one of the videos he was a member of ISIS and joined the terrorist organization just before summer.

Nine of the 15 people killed in the New Year’s Day morning terrorist attack on Bourbon Street have been identified. One of them graduated high school last May and his name is Kareem Badawi. The Baton Rouge native attended Episcopal High School and his high school football coach Travis Bourgeois says he watched Badawi grow up and become a man. He says he was a man of integrity on and off the football field

At this hour, federal, state and local officials are providing an update on the investigation into the New Year’s Day morning terrorist attack on Bourbon Street that killed at least 15 people and left more than 30 injured. The FBI says 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar drove at a high rate of speed, killing innocent people who were celebrating the New Year’s holiday.

Authorities believe Jabbar did not act alone. New Orleans Congressman Troy Carter has a message for Jabbar’s accomplices…

Several years ago, bollards were installed at every intersection along Bourbon Street. But early yesterday morning, they were missing at the time that Shamsud-Din Jabbar drove onto the street and plowed into the crowd. New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell says shortly after the bollards were installed, Mardi Gras beads and other impediments caused the bollards to malfunction

The Sugar Bowl is scheduled to take place at 3 PM today after it was postponed because of a terrorist attack on Bourbon Street that killed at least 15 people.

A couple of former Louisiana high school football players are among the people who died. Episcopal’s Kareem Badawi graduated from the Baton Rouge school last May and former St. Thomas More football star Tiger Bech died several hours after he was hit by the terror suspect’s truck.

Just like all of New Orleans, the Saints felt the impact of the New Year’s morning terrorist attack on Bourbon Street. Interim head coach Darren Rizzi says hearing the news brought back painful memories. Rizzi lost two high school football teammates during the 9-11 attacks…

The Saints will conclude the regular season on Sunday against Tampa Bay.

The Pelicans lost their 11th straight last night despite 34 points from Trey Murphy. Miami got off to a fast start and New Orleans could not come back and fell to the Heat 119 to 108.  The Pels will host an equally bad team in the Washington Wizards on Friday.

The sixth ranked LSU Lady Tigers tip off SEC play tonight by taking on Arkansas. LSU is 15-and-0 and sophomore guard Mikaylah Williams says they are ready…

Arkansas struggled in non-conference play, as they are 7-and-8, but they have the SEC’s leading scorer in Izzy Higginbottom, who is averaging 24 points a game.

It’s a day after the first terrorist attack on the city of New Orleans and a somber mood hangs over the city and the state of Louisiana. 15 people were killed, including 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar, who pushed his foot on the gas as he drove his pickup truck down a crowded Bourbon Street early New Year’s Day morning.

Governor Jeff Landry has issued an emergency declaration. Landry says as part of his declaration, he’s ordered the mobilization of a military police company.

We are learning more about the people killed. Twenty-seven-year-old Nicole Perez from Metairie was a manager at a deli. At least two people from Baton Rouge died, 37-year-old Reggie Hunter, a father of two, and Kareem Badwai, who graduated from Episcopal High School last spring. Former St. Thomas More football star Tiger Beche also died after he was hit by the terror suspect’s truck.
