The Natchitoches Sheriff’s Office have made an arrest in the March murder of Mark Hailey owner of Fat Daddy’s Crawfish in Shreveport. After an 8 month investigation multiple search warrants and analysis of forensic evidence, NPSO announced they arrested 35 year old Patrick D Howard of Natchitoches for Principle to 1^st Degree Murder. The investigation is active and ongoing.

The Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control has released a list of of approved vape and alternative nicotine products. November is National Pet Cancer Awareness Month. Ginger Guttner with LSU School of Veterinary Medicine says pets can get cancer and it is important for pet owners to know that early detection is important.

The Veterinary Cancer Society estimates one in four dogs will develop cancer at some point.

Guttner says nearly 50 percent of dogs over age 10 will develop cancer.  She urges pet owners to keep an eye out for warning signs.

A junior high school student has been arrested in St. Tammany Parish. St Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office says the arrest of the 14 year old Madisonville Area Junior High School Student was made after a fellow student reported to school personnel the existence of a Hit List, allegedly created by the 14 year old. The school then notified the Sheriff’s Office. The Student was issued a summons Tuesday for Menacing and was released to a parent on a custodial agreement to appear in court.

Centenary College in Shreveport announces it’s raising $50 million dollars to improve the four-year liberal arts school ahead of its bicentennial anniversary in 2025. She says the campaign will also support endowed scholarship expansion and is a major component of operational support.
