A ten-month-old infant is recovering at a hospital in Shreveport after she spent nearly three days under her father’s body. Sabine Parish Deputy Coroner Ron Rivers says 43-year-old Jason Fields of Pleasant Hill suffered a massive heart attack in her bedroom and fell back on top of the infant, who was resting on the bed

Rivers says the infant, Betty Jean Fields, was dehydrated and suffering from blisters on her skin. He says there was also an indentation on her forehead from her father’s body lying on top of her

Rivers says the last report he’s received, the infant is doing okay. He says there was a five-year-old child also in the home, but it took him three days to alert a neighbor about what happened. The coroner believes the heart attack was so severe that Fields was dead before he fell back on the child

The A-G’s office says six truckloads of possible contaminated material collected from the apartment where the Dallas Ebola victim became ill, were brought to an incinerator in Port Arthur, Texas. From there, the remains are expected to go in a landfill in Carlyss, Louisiana. Caldwell says they filed a temporary restraining order to keep the Ebola Waste out of  Louisiana…

Legal action may not be needed. The waste disposal facility that was expected to take the controversial ash said in a news release that it will no longer accept the waste until Louisiana officials agree it’s safe. Caldwell says there’s probably a safer way to dispose of it, instead of bringing it across state lines…

Caldwell’s office plans to file a temporary restraining order to keep the Ebola waste out of Louisiana, after learning that it was going to be disposed in a Calcasieu Parish landfill…

The landfill owned by Chemical Waste Company has released a statement saying they will not accept the controversial ash until Louisiana state officials are okay with it.

Power is out and trees are down across north Louisiana as a result of a strong line of thunderstorms moving through the state. Marty Mayeaux (My-you) with the National Weather Service in Shreveport says they are receiving a lot of damage reports in Ouachita Parish and damage survey teams will look to see if its’ the result of tornado…

Three people were killed in a crash with a train in White Castle early Sunday morning. 37-year-old Clifton Davis, 33-year-old Andrea Foster, and 25-year-old Courtney Canada were killed when the car they were in was hit by a freight train. White Castle Police are investigating the incident and say it is possible the victims were trying to beat the train or simply disregarded the signals.

A 10-month-old Pleasant Hill girl is hostpitalized after spending up to three days trapped under her father’s dead body. They say little Betty Jean Fields was found dehydrated and with blistering skin. Sabine Parish Officials believe the child’s father, 43-year-old Jason Fields, who had a history of cardiac problems, fell backward on his bed and died instantly, falling on top of his daughter. The child is expected to make a full recovery.

The Louisiana Attorney General’s Office plans to file for a temporary restraining order this morning to stop the disposal of a Dallas Ebola victim’s incinerated personal belongings in a Louisiana landfill. It’s reported that six truckloads of potential Ebola contaminated material collected from Thomas Duncan’s apartment were incinerated Friday and scheduled to be transported to a Calcasieu Parish hazardous waste landfill for final disposal.

The AG’s Consumer Protection Section is investigating reports of scammers targeting Entergy resident customers and small business owners. Amanda Larkins, with the A-G’s office, says if someone contacts you claiming to be from a utility company and uses high pressure tactics to force immediate payment, the best thing to do is hang up…

A reported six truckloads of potential Ebola contaminated material collected from Thomas Duncan’s apartment were incinerated Friday and scheduled to be transported to a Calcasieu Parish hazardous waste landfill for final disposal. The AG’s Office plans to file for a temporary restraining order this morning.

A Louisiana State Police Sergeant, who caused a crash on Interstate 10 early Saturday morning, faces charges of DWI and hit and run. State Police Captain Doug Cain says 34-year-old Damien Dyson Sr of Baton Rouge’s blood alcohol content was over twice the legal limit. He says the driver of the vehicle that Dyson hit, survived the crash despite his vehicle ending up on its roof….

The big offensive star for the Tigers was freshman running back Leonard Fournette. He rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns.

Saints tight end Jimmy Graham will likely miss the next two games due to the shoulder injury suffered against Tampa Bay on October 5th. Graham will reportedly miss between two to three weeks of action.

Yesterday in the NFC South, Atlanta fell to Chigaco 27-13, Baltimore crushed Tampa Bay 48-17, and Carolina and Cincinnati tied at 37.

Grambling State and Southeastern Louisiana are still undefeated in conference play. Grambling moved to 4-0 in the SWAC with a 28-21 win over Alcorn State. Tigers Quarterback Jonathan Williams threw for 222 yards and one touchdown. The junior from Tampa also rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns.

Southeastern Louisiana moved to 3-0 in the Southland with a 61-34 win over Lamar. The Lions rushed for a school record 484 yards. Lions QB Bryan Bennett rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns. McNeese State fell to 1-and-1 in the league as they lost to Sam Houston State 38-22. The Cowboys got behind 35-7 and they threw for only 89 yards.

Northwestern state is also 1-1 in the Southland as the Demons defeated Incarnate Word 49-12. Zach Adkins threw four touchdown passes in the 2nd quarter and Garrett Atzenweiler rushed for 146 yards.

And Nicholls State is still winless after a 42-20 loss to Stephen F Austin. That’s 13 straight loss, but the Colonels had a season-high 381 yards.

State Police Captain Doug Cain says 34-year-old Damien Dyson Sr of Baton Rouge was heading west on I-10 in Ascension Parish, when he struck the rear of another vehicle at a high rate of speed. Cain says Dyson kept going, but eventually pulled over and State Police responded to the scene

Larkins says this scam has been around for a while, targeting elderly and other residential consumers, but now these scammers are moving on to small business owners with larger utility expenses.

The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office says an 8-year-old boy has died following the accidental discharge of a revolver by his older brother. Authorities say Nathan Majors was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
