A Clinton man is under arrest for causing an injury crash involving 2 18 wheelers on LA Highway 67 in East Feliciana Parish back on Oct. 1st. After further investigation of the original crash, State Police arrested 52 year-old Edward G. Delee for operating a 1978 John Deere Tractor with no lights, hit and run driving and negligent injuring .

A man from Houston is in jail after trying a very creative way to smuggle meth across state lines. Baton Rouge Police pulled over a commercial bus headed to Mobile early Thursday morning on I-12, and after a search by narcotics dogs, discovered meth hidden in the wax in some 52 Sacred Heart Jesus candles that were packed in a suitcase. Nineteen year-old Jose Antonio Rodriguez-Lara was arrested on drug charges.

43-year-old Ernest Bell and 30-year-old Kristen Downs were booked into the Bossier Maximum Security Facility on several charges including cruelty to a juvenile, criminal neglect of family, and possession of marijuana. The neglect charges stem from the child not being enrolled in school for the past two years. Davis believes the child was just trying to run away from an abusive situation…

At the peak of Entergy’s outages, about 35,000 customers were without power and Friday morning later that number was down to just under 2700. Brockman says the tornado caused trees to fall onto houses, crush cars, close businesses and several roads were completely impassable….:

State Police say a man from Houma is under arrest for allegedly making threatening statements about the Terrebonne DA and judges on his Facebook Page. They say 50-year-old Michael Martin was arrested at his home and booked into the Terrebonne jail on a charge of terrorizing.

Authorities believe 36-year-old Terrel Laprarie shot 39-year-old Theresa Ann Johnson before turning the gun on himself. Laprarie was pronounced dead at the scene. Johnson was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuires.

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s office says a woman who teaches at Crowley High is under arrest for another alleged sexual student/teacher incident. Spokeswoman Maxine Trahan says they received an initial report about 34-year-old Tracy Marie Barras of Duson in early October…
