A Grand Jury in Baton Rouge has formally charged the former assistant principal accused in the death of Lyntell Washington and her unborn baby. 39-year-old Robert Marks was handed a true bill for second degree murder and second degree feticide. Washington was positively identified as the badly decomposed body found in a ditch in Rosedale in June.

Cops in Monroe say a man is charged for allegedly speeding in excess of nearly 150 miles per hour in his Corvette so his front seat passenger could get the travel reading on Snapchat. John Pruett was booked for one count of reckless operation.

The Tulane game against Central Florida scheduled for tomorrow night has been moved to Sunday November 5th because of hurricane Matthew. The two programs had a mutual off weekend, allowing for the game to be easily moved.

The NCAA announced a proposals Wednesday that would restrict when and where college football coaches can hold satellite camps and also one that implement two early signing periods for high school prospects. The proposals need approval by the Board of Directors and would go into effect for the 2017-18 year.

Northwestern State University President Jim Henderson is expected to become the new president of the University of Louisiana System, as he is the only candidate that will go before the Board of Supervisors today. Henderson says if selected for the position, there are some obvious problems he plans to tackle.

Henderson says if the job didn’t allow him to continue to work with Northwestern, he wouldn’t even consider it. He says he has immense love for the Natchitoches school, as he and his wife, Tonia, both graduated from NSU, but he says he has ties to many Louisiana universities.

Despite Hurricane Matthew’s threat on the east coast, the LSU-Florida game is still scheduled to be played in Gainesville, but it’s unclear whether it will kick-off at 11 AM on Saturday. Officials say a final decision on the start time will be made by noon central time tomorrow. But there are no plans to move the game out of Gainesville.

LSU and Florida game is scheduled to be played in Gainesville, but it’s unclear whether it will kick-off at 11 AM on Saturday, because of Hurricane Matthew. Whenever this game is played, it could be a low scoring affair. Florida has allowed just seven touchdowns, while LSU has given up five. Tigers senior linebacker Kendell Beckwith says the fewer the touchdowns allowed, the better the chances for victory…

Dr. David Holcombe with the state Office of Public Health says pharmaceutical companies push these pills as being safer than they are, and there’s a problem with patients demanding the painkillers.

Jefferson parish residents called for parish president Mike Yenni to resign at a city council meeting today, in light of allegations that Yenni had an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old boy. Resident Richard Brown maintains that Yenni also offered the teen a job when he was the mayor of Kenner.

He says it’s very easy for doctors to just write a patient a prescription.

Baker says currently, Mike VI is behaving very normally and his appetite has returned after treatment for a sinus infection due to a tumor. He says their current plan gives the LSU community time to say their goodbyes to the beloved mascot.
