The Alexandria Police Department says a 3-year-old child was struck and killed by a car last night. Officials say, at this time, the incident looks to be an accident. The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with authorities. No charges have been filed as the investigation is ongoing. The identity of the 3-year-old has not been released.
A bill has filed for the upcoming legislative session by Shreveport Representative Barbra Norton that would make it illegal to supply a child 12 or under with an Uzi sub-machine gun.
