ESPN’s re-broadcast of the “Rebirth” game, the iconic Monday night contest between the Saints and Falcons on September 25th 2006 delivered a ten-point-nine rating with more than 67-thousand household impressions in the New Orleans area. It was the most-watched show in New Orleans on Monday.

Saints Quarterback Drew Brees was a guest on “The Ellen Show” today and said “the American people need sports right now.” Brees says the return of sports can be part of the recovery and not having sports right now makes the situation we are in much tougher. The future hall of Famer said it would be really weird if they had to play games this fall in empty stadiums.

New Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady was a guest on the Howard Stern show and said he has zero resentment towards his former head coach Bill Belichick. Brady added that he would not have won as many Super Bowl rings without Belichick and the same can be said for his former coach if he wasn’t the Q-B.

Louisiana Tech athletics director Tommy McClelland says the school will cover the cost of funding for the additional scholarships in baseball and softball next year, because of the NCAA decision that grants an extra year of eligibility to all spring sports athletes. But track, golf, and tennis senior athletes will not automatically get scholarships if they return. McClelland calls it a tough decision. He says seniors from tennis, golf and track and field can return, but the coaches will have to decide how to fit them in their normal scholarship limits or they can compete as a walk-on.

Alabama Coach Nick Saban says he finally has his own email address. Saban said he had to create his own email because his wife Terry was tired of getting all of his emails. Saban told ESPN’s Mari Taylor that Miss Terry fired him. Saban says he’s also learned how to use Zoom and FaceTime during this time of social distancing.
