The Saints are going to court to keep the public from seeing hundreds of emails that team executives sent to the Archdiocese of New Orleans concerning the sexual abuse crisis involving their priests. Court documents allege the NFL franchise tried to help the diocese cover up the crimes, but the Saints released a statement today that their advice was to be open and transparent, making sure all law enforcement agencies were alerted.

The man accused of setting fire to three predominately black congregation churches in St. Landry Parish will have a change of plea hearing on February 10th. Holden Matthews previously pleaded not guilty to state and federal arson and hate crime charges.
