Several Romanians have been arrested in Livingston Parish after allegedly being in the country illegally, and running a “skimming” scam targeting gas stations along the I-12 coordinator. Sheriff Jason Ard says they tracked the suspects with the help of the Secret Service, who’s cracking down on nationwide skimming operations.

Four adults have been arrested, and three juveniles are being held.
The Saints second leading franchise rusher, Mark Ingram, will continue his NFL career in Baltimore, reportedly signing a three-year, 15-million dollar contract with the Ravens. New Orleans will attempt to replace Ingram with the newly signed Latavius Murray. NFL analyst Mike Detillier.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office says the state has seen 17 fire deaths this year, a big drop from last year. Fire Marshall Butch Browning says this is welcomed news, and credits a more mild winter as a contributing factor for the lower numbers, due to the less frequent use of space heaters and a lessened strain being put on electrical systems in older homes.
