One is in custody according to Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joe Lopinto following the death of two children and an adult female in Terrytown. Lopinto says they also have a confession.

It appears blunt force trauma was used, but the coroner will confirm cause of death after an autopsy is done.

Two other children were also seriously injured. A relationship between the victims and the suspects has not been provided.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana has launched Rx Saving Solutions, a way to help member save money on their prescription medications. The program can be personalize to what medication members actually use.

Company spokesperson Teresa Day says members can login to their accounts and elect to receive text or email messages about ways to save.

The program has been in the works for over a year.

 

New research out of Denmark indicates the measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine does not raise the risk of autism.  Louisiana Department of Health Immunization Director Dr. Frank Welch says this is the 17th study to debunk the myth of a connection between autism and vaccinations and what separates this is one is the size of the study group.

Welch says the vaccination-autism myth originated from a study in England involving a group of less than 12 autistic children.
