We missed out on the snow, but we are not missing out on the cold temperatures. It will be mostly sunny today, but it will be cold and windy. High temperatures will only be in the 40s statewide today. Wind chills are in the mid-20s across north Louisiana. State Climatologist Barry Keim says it will be even colder tomorrow morning…

It will start to warm up after tomorrow and we’ll be back in the 60s statewide by Friday.

On Friday, an extradition hearing for 21-year-old Dakota Theriot will be held in Richmond County, Virginia. He’s the south Louisiana man accused of killing five people including his parents on Saturday in Ascension Parish. We are learning more about Theriot. The Advocate reports he was married for 11 days in 2015 and he was also kicked out of basic training for the US Armed Forces after four months. A former employer says he had a lot of family drama.

The vote by LHSAA principals to allow private school state championship games at a separate venue from public schools creates another dilemma for the leadership of high school athletics. Kevin Barnhart has more…
