In 2017, 13-percent of babies born in Louisiana were premature and that’s higher than the national rate, which is at 10-percent. Governor Edwards returns today from his week long trip to Israel. The governor met with business leaders in the areas of energy and cybersecurity. Edwards also met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an effort to grow trade between Israel and Louisiana.
