Cut 3 (11) “they can.”

The horrific shootings in Las Vegas and at a small Texas church are reminders of the kind of world we live in.  Teutsch says people need to know if a situation develops and emergency crews are slow to respond…

The game will kick off on Wednesday December 27th.  Nolet says since they have the game scheduled a couple of days after Christmas, it affords bowl organizers to have plenty activities for the fans to participate in prior to kickoff…

The Department of Health has gotten better about erroneously making Medicaid payments to deceased recipients over the last four years, but still has work to do. A new report from the state’s Legislative Auditor found LDH made nearly $718,000 in improper payments between July 2013 and August 2017. Performance Audit Manager Chris Magee says LDH has improved since 2013:

Cut 12 (10) “that they had died”

Magee says the last report showed LDH had paid about $1.85 million for deceased individuals between February 2012 and June 2013. He says what they’ve found is a coding error in which an individual dies, but that death is not properly linked to the department’s Medicaid eligibility file…:

Cut 13 (11)  “in the future”

Most of the improper spending involved payments made to managed-care companies that oversee services for most of Louisiana’s Medicaid patients. Magee says auditors concluded that LDH needs to further enhance it’s identification process…:
