A Driver opened fire killing two people and injuring a third in Shreveport last night. Shreveport police say the shootout happened as two drivers drove down Clyde Fant Parkway. The shooting caused one vehicle to run off the road. Officers found three people in the car. Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene and the other person was transported to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. Police have no suspects and urge anyone with details to contact the Shreveport Police Department.
The Louisiana Highway Safety Commission continues to urge everyone in a vehicle to buckle up and to make sure younger children are properly restrained in a child safety seat. Only 11-percent of drivers in Louisiana do not wear seat belts, and Highway Safety Commission Director Lisa Freeman says it will take intense messaging to get that percentage down to zero.

Louisiana high school graduates will have something special on their diplomas. Governor Landry announced that in honor of the country’s 250th birthday, those graduates will have a commemorative America 250 seal on their diplomas.
