Yahoo Sports reporter Charles Robinson says a source tells him that there’s a 50-50 chance Payton will not return to the Black & Gold for the 2016 season and a lot of the decision depends on the legal battle with Owner Tom Benson and his former heirs.
The Pelicans picked up their first win of the NBA season last night. The Pels scored the first 12 points of the game on their way to a 120-105 victory over the Dallas Mavericks. Ryan Anderson led all scorers with 25 followed by four Pelicans who put in 17 points each, including Anthony Davis who left the game at halftime with a bruised hip. The 1-6 Pels head to Atlanta to take on the Hawks tonight.
