The L-S-U-South Carolina game this Saturday will be moved to Baton Rouge as result of the historic and deadly flooding in the Columbia, South Carolina area. When the game will be played has yet to be determined. Heading into today, there was a big question mark on where this game would be played. But LSU Coach Les Miles said it has not been a distraction for his team…:

South Carolina is expected to fly into Baton Rouge on Friday for the game in Tiger Stadium.

Meanwhile the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness says they are sending emergency management personnel to South Carolina to work with officials there in making damage assessments. GOHSEP says their employees have the experience needed when it comes to disasters like this and they stand ready to help whenever needed.

The LSU Faculty Senate has voted to censure LSU President F. King Alexander and two other individuals for the firing of a teacher who is accused of using profanity and sexual content that was said to be making students feel uncomfortable. LSU Faculty Senate President Kevin Cope says they’re disappointed how Alexander handled the situation…:

In a statement from Dr. Alexander, he says students have the right to learn in an environment free of sexual harassment and verbal abuse.

Three out of four gubernatorial candidates will debate tonight in Baton Rouge — this one hosted by WVLA-TV and Fox 44. Republican Senator David Vitter will not be there. It begins at 7pm and streams online at brproud.com.
