Wildfires continue to burn in Beauregard parish, most notably the Tiger Island fire. The Louisiana Department of agriculture and Forestry Enforcement Division has determined the fire is a result of arson. LDAF agents are looking for the person responsible. All calls are anonymous and the Louisiana Forestry Association is offering up to $2,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
The U.S. Fish and wildlife service has plugged more than 500 orphaned well sites in the state since January thanks to 25 million dollars in funding from the Infrastructure Law and another 12 million. Louisiana De Courreges
The state has roughly 45 hundred orphaned well sites, most are in the Shreveport-Monroe area.
