Opill, the first over-the-counter birth control pill in the nation, has been approved by The Food and Drug Administration. Dr. Nicole Freehill, Assistant Professor of Clinical OB/GYN at LSU Health New Orleans says when used as directed, the pill has the highest prevention rate among over-the-counter contraceptives.

Attorney General Jeff Landry holds a large lead in many of the polls in the field for the governor’s race among voters.
