The state Department of Education announces that a record number of high school seniors earned a score of 18 or higher on the ACT, which allows grads to attend college without needing to take remedial courses. The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s office says three people are under arrest in connection with the escape of an accused murder suspect from the women’s prison in Avoyelles on July 11th. Lt. Tommy Carnline says Shemesha Bordley, Michael Jones, and Myra Hayes, all of Alexandria, face charges in connection with the escape of Melissa Hayes. Carnline says they aren’t releasing specific details related to the charges…
