A Plaquemine man has been arrested for impersonating a police officer in Assumption Parish. Brooke Thorington reports the man was charged after he pulled over an actual deputy.

The city of Alexandria will not put on a public fireworks show this weekend. Council members say they would rather use the 15-thousand dollars on other things. But there will be a fireworks show across the river. Pineville will host one on Saturday night at Lake Buhlow.
