The Saints will play three primetime games this year, all of them in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

24-7 Sports says LSU basketball has the top recruiting class in the nation. The Bayou Bengals were awarded that designation after receiving a signed letter of intent from Brandon Sampson, the top high school senior in the state of Louisiana. Previously LSU signed the nation’s number one player in Ben Simmons, five-star guard Antonio Blakeney, and Arizona transfer Craig Victor.

LSU pitchers gave up only one hit last night as the number one ranked Tigers blanked in-state rival Tulane 6-0. Freshman right-hander Austin Bain earned his first win for LSU last night while Patrick Duester was charged with the loss for the Green Wave. The Bayou Bengals now turn their focus to number two ranked Texas A&M who come to Baton Rouge for a three game series beginning Thursday night.

Louisiana Tech scored five first inning runs while cruising past Stephen F. Austin 9-2. The Bulldogs head to Monroe to take on rival ULM tonight at 6PM.

The Warhawks are looking to bounce back after losing to Southern Miss yesterday 9-3.

The 22nd ranked Houston Cougars squeaked by McNeese 5-4. The Cowboys now get ready for a three-game Southland Conference series against Nicholls which gets underway Friday night.

The Colonels will come into that series having won their last four after defeating Grambling 4-2.

And UL-Lafayette blew past Southeastern 7-2. The Ragin Cajuns now turn their attention to their weekend series against Texas-Arlington. The Lions look to bounce back when they take on Houston Baptist.
