The National Hurricane Center says there’s a high chance a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms located over the Yucatan Peninsula will develop into at least a tropical depression over the next 48 hours. The system is expected to track towards Florida this week and avoid Louisiana.

Authorities have identified the elderly woman killed moments after watching her grandson graduate from Morris Jeff High School during a ceremony on Xavier University’s campus. 80-year-old Augustine Greenwood was a mother of six and a grandmother of 15 children. A judge has sentenced 29-year-old Tre’Veon Demarcus Anderson of Shreveport to life in prison for killing Shreveport police officer Chateri Payne in January of 2019. Anderson was found guilty of planning and executing the murder of Officer Payne as she was getting ready to go to work. Their two-year-old child was inside the home at the time.

A second Senate committee is set to hear a bill that would allow non-felon adults to conceal carry a gun without the need of a permit or training. The bill has been approved by the House and a Senate Judiciary Committee. Political analyst Bernie Pinsonat says for this legislation to receive a second hearing by a Senate Committee, someone is attempting to keep the bill from passing…

As the Russian invasion of Ukraine rages on, New Orleans physician Dr. MarkAlain Dery (pronounced as Mark Allen Dairy) is assisting those in need of being medically evacuated. Dery says he’s been in Ukraine for about three weeks now.
