Halloween means kids heading door-to-door in search of candy, but for children with autism, they may not be able to verbalize phrases like “Trick-or-treat” or “Happy Halloween,” so the newest trend for those children is carrying blue buckets or pumpkins to bring awareness.  Autism Society Acadiana spokesperson Robin Blackwell says if you are aware that you may encounter autistic visitors, there are some things to take into consideration.
