A player in the multi-state Mega Million jackpot could be rich after tonight’s drawing. The Louisiana Lottery says the prize has been rolling since the end of August and is up to $252 million. The Mega Millions jackpot also has a cash option of $153 million.

The Duck Dynasty crew is once again getting involved in the 5th Congressional District race to support their family member Republican Zach Dasher. Phil Robertson appears in TV commercials this week saying his nephew believes in the Bible and in guns and would be the best man for the job. They say the likely 2016 Democratic presidential candidate will be the key note speaker at a women’s rally for Landrieu on Saturday.

Louisiana State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash last night in Iberia Parish that claimed the life of a Jeanerette man. Authorities say Michael Dooley of New Iberia was driving his truck on Highway 14 when he turned into the path of a motorcycle driven by 42-year-old Berwick Rhine, Jr. Rhine struck the side of the pickup and was thrown from his motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

There’s another huge Mega Millions jackpot tonight with a $252 million dollar grand prize. Louisiana Lottery spokeswoman Kimberly Chopin says this is jackpot is in the Top 20 in the game’s history…

The Southeastern Conference fined LSU $5,000 after fans rushed the field after Saturday’s 10-7 win over then third ranked Ole Miss. The conference ban on fans entering the playing field went into effect in 2004 and this was LSU’s first violation. This last time LSU fans stormed the field was in 2001 when the Tigers defeated Auburn and secured a trip to the SEC Championship Game.

Louisiana Tech is 4-and-0 in Conference USA heading into Saturday’s homecoming match-up against Western Kentucky. Safety Kentrell Brice says the team is exicted they are undefeated in league action, but there’s more work to do…

LSU Running back Leonard Fournette was also named the SEC Freshman Player of the Week after earning his third 100-yard rushing game of the season against the Rebels.

A young girl is dead and three others were sent to the hospital following a head-on collision on Highway 1 in Napoleonville Sunday night. Trooper Evan Harrell says 10 year-old Naveah Pierson of Gray was not restrained, and was pronounced dead at the scene…

A Prairieville man is under arrest for allegedly ramming a vehicle over and over while his wife and another male victim were inside. Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Major Ward Webb says 33-year-old Gerald Asay saw his estranged wife in a car another man was driving and got upset. He says the suspect rammed into the back of that car while they were at a red light and that caused them to hit another car…

Asay faces multiple charges including two counts of attempted first-degree murder murder.

It’s a different kind of poll that’s out from Suffolk University about the Louisiana Senate race. This one actually takes a look at the primary and includes retired Air Force Colonel Rob Maness. Maness polled 11-percent of the vote. However, when the poll shifts to a Landrieu-Cassidy runoff, Cassidy has a 7-point lead.

McNeese State’s Brent Spikes is the Southland Defensive Player of the Week. Spikes had three interceptions, returning one for a touchdown in the Cowboys 41-21 win over Incarnate Word.
