It’s the fourth time Jindal is set, instead, to appear in the under-card forum — it’ll be tomorrow night at 6pm on the Fox Business Network. The two hour prime-time debate is set for 8pm. Jindal will share the stage with Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, of Pennsylvania.

The city of Hammond says its police chief, Roddy Devall, has been removed from his position as the result of a pending disciplinary matter. A letter cited the reasons for the firing were over civil service violations in a dispute over how the police department handled an officer’s arrest.

Bond for the two men arrested in the death of 6-year-old Jeremy Mardis has been set at $1 million each. Norris Greenhouse, Jr. and Derrick Stafford are charged with second degree murder in the child’s death. Loyola Law Professor Dane Ciolino says the body camera evidence will be critical in moving the case forward…:

Lafayette City-Parish President Mayor Joey Durel says the movie theater where a man opened fire on a crowd of people in July, will open its doors for the first time since the shootings in 10 days. He says The Grand Theater will be back up and running on November 19th at 7pm…:

Durel says The Grand on Johnston Street is in a highly trafficked area that people pass by everyday, so it will be a huge sense of relief to see it open again.

The Associated Press is reporting that the lawyer for the man who was gunned down allegedly by Marksville City Marshals when his 6-year-old child was killed, had his hands up and posed no threat. The report indicates the lawyer says the body cam evidence shows it. Bond was set at one million dollars for both Derrick Stafford and Norris Greenhouse Jr. on changes of second degree murder and attempted second degree murder.

Today, State Police honored the four people who rendered aid to Trooper Steven Vincent while he was critically wounded during a traffic stop in August. Vincent was shot and killed while trying to assist a motorist with his vehicle. Master Trooper Brooks David says the actions of these men were over and above what anyone would have expected…:

One being recognized is Robert LeDoux who subdued the alleged shooter, 54-year-old Kevin Daigle, and held him until officers arrived.

Governor Bobby Jindal once again fell short of making the main stage for Tuesday’s Republican presidential debate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Jindal will join New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee and Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum in a one hour 2nd tier debate that will air at 6pm on the Fox Business Network. This is the fourth televised debate among Republican presidential hopefuls and the fourth time Jindal has failed to qualify for the main event.

The two candidates for governor are speaking at a forum in Baton Rouge at this hour. Democrat John Bel Edwards released an ad over the weekend attacking Republican David Vitter’s prostitution scandal. Today, the US Senator is out with a new 30 second commercial that shows him sitting at a kitchen table saying to the camera, “15 years ago, I failed my family but found forgiveness and love.”

Lafayette City-Parish President Joey Durel says the movie theater where a man opened fire on a crowd of people in July, will open its doors for the first time since the shootings in 10 days. On July 23rd, a crazed man shot and killed two women and injured several others at the Grand 16 shortly after a film had started. Durel says this is a symbolic development..:

Derrick Stafford and Norris Greenhouse each face charges of second-degree murder and second-degree attempted murder, but Loyola Law professor Dane Ciolino says the severity of the charges can still change…

Authorities continue to investigate the case of the City Marshals in Marksville who are accused in the case of the shooting death of a 6-year-old boy and wounding of of his father. A bail hearing is reportedly underway at this hour for 32-year-old Derrick Stafford and 23-year-old Norris Greenhouse, who each face charges of second-degree murder and second-degree attempted murder. Little Jeremy Mardis is set to be laid to rest today in Mississippi, while his father, Chris Few remains hospitalized.

Funeral services will be held today in Hattiesburg, Mississippi for 6-year-old Jeremy Mardis. Mardis was fatally shot last week when Marksville City Marshals fired upon the vehicle he was riding in with his father. Norris Greenhouse Jr. and Derrick Stafford are charged with second degree murder in the child’s death. Greenhouse and Stafford are scheduled to make their first court appearance today.

Two men have been arrested in the case of the 6-year-old child who was fatally shot when State Police say Marksville City Marshals fired upon the vehicle he was riding in last week. Col Mike Edmonson says Norris Greenhouse Jr. and Derrick Stafford were booked on charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder in the death of the child, Jeremy Mardis, and the injuring of his father, Chris Few. The police investigation is ongoing.
