The tens of thousands of unaccompanied children crossing over into neighboring Texas is raising concerns Louisiana may face an immigration problem of it’s own. Denham Springs Representative Valarie Hodges doesn’t want facilities to be used to house the immigrants and she’s seeking the public’s input on her Facebook page

Louisiana State Police says they’ve got someone in custody who is considered a suspect in the case of the bomb threat that was called in to UL-Lafayette last week. Earlier reports indicate it’s the same person that was accused in a robbery that same day but official details will be released by the FBI this morning.
The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Donaldsonville man after finding his wife shot to death at their home. Police Chief Tony Bacala says first responders discovered 27-year-old Shella Howard dead in the bathroom of several gunshot wounds. They say 31-year-old Jaris Howard apparently called someone to confessed to what he’d done and now faces many charges…:
