Early voting for the October 14th primary election ends tonight, and it looks like turnout in Louisiana is down 9 percent compared to 2019. Pollster John Couvillon with JMC Analytics says the number of Louisianans who cast a ballot Saturday through Thursday is down by 22 thousand. (:20)

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for the southern portions of Louisiana, which includes all coastal communities, west to east over to the Mississippi state line. NWS Lake Charles Meteorologist Marti Calhoun says strong winds are expected Saturday after a cold front moves through today. (:17)
