A Pineville man has been arrested and charged with 250 counts of online impersonation after allegedly posing as a woman on social media sites to solicit sexually explicit photos from women. 46-year-old Kevin Miles was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center. State Police Master Trooper Scott Moreau says it’s illegal to use another person’s identity online, which is the basis for Miles’ charges.

Moreau says Miles used the fake social media account for over 10 years.

Authorities continue to investigate a fatal police shooting in Bossier City. 45-year-old Shannon Rupert of Shreveport died from her wounds. Bossier City police encountered Ruper Friday morning as they responded to a complaint of a disorderly person at LaQuinta Inn.

Former ULM President Dwight Vines has passed away at the age of 87. He served as the school’s president from 1976 to 1991.
