Legislation expanding the methods the state can use to carry out an execution and protect drug companies that provide the ingredients used for lethal injection was passed in House Criminal Justice Tuesday. Pineville Representative Mike Johnson asked Hammond Representative Nicholas Muscarello, the bills author, why the state has difficulty carrying out death sentences.
