Just in to our newsroom – we’re getting new details on the death of a Kansas City TV reporter who was in New Orleans covering the Super Bowl. Kenner Police found Adan Manzano unresponsive in his hotel room yesterday, and they have arrested Danette Colbert of Slidell, who they say had been using his credit card at several New Orleans-area stores. Police say Colbert’s arrest record includes prior allegations of drugging men and using their credit cards.
Everywhere you go on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, you will see concrete and steel barricades and law enforcement in tactical gear. These Super Bowl visitors are thankful for the steel and concrete barricades.
Even though Bourbon Street is completely blocked off, traffic along intersecting streets can get through. When crowds swell to the point that makes that unsafe, police will block those off too.
