Shreveport police have identified the four people killed in the 4th of July mass shooting. The ages of the deceased range from 17 to 24. It is believed the shooting stemmed from an argument between two groups of men and multiple people were firing shots.

Colorado State University researchers have increased their forecast, now predicting an above-average 2023 Atlantic hurricane season. CSU predicts 18 named storms, nine hurricanes, four major hurricanes, Cat 3 or higher.
