Finishing second in the race, was Baton Rouge activist Gary Chambers at 18-percent. Chambers told supporters he is not running for governor next year.

Two years ago, Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins was considered a rising star in the Democratic Party as he challenged Republican Bill Cassidy for Senate. He lost that race and last night he failed to make the run-off. Republican Tom Arceneaux and Democratic Senator Greg Tarver will face-off in the December run-off.
