Yesterday may have been the unofficial start to the holiday shopping season, but it was also a big day for high school football. In quarter final action, Neville beat Chalmette 31-7, Ouachita Christian Downed Covenant Christian 30 to 14. It was a nailbiter as Franklinton defeated Lakeshore 41 to 40 and Sterlington beat Oak Grove for the first time since 2016 ending the Tigers’ bid for a third straight state championship.
