LSU will wear special uniforms tonight against Mississippi State that will commemorate the “Silent Season” of 1918, where the Tigers did not play football because of World War One. There will be no names on the back of the jerseys to recognize the unknown soldiers who died during that war. A tip from the Sabine Parish Sherriff’s Office led to the arrest of a man in Waveland, Mississippi, who allegedly killed 23-year-old Lynnquithis January of Many. January was killed June 18th at an apartment complex. Joe Dewil, with the Sabine Parish Sheriff’s office, says the suspect, 23-year-old Darrell Williams Junior, was living in Mississippi at the time he committed the crime, so the investigation involved multiple departments across two states.
