A woman who says she was raped during the early morning hours of New Year’s Day in 1998 recognizes her alleged rapist at a wedding reception last June and now that man is behind bars. Baton Rouge Police arrested 38-year-old John Louis Davis of Baker yesterday after the woman got his name and contacted authorities.
Louisiana State police has arrested former Bunkie Police Chief Bobby Corner and one of his former officers. Corner allegedly allowed multiple pieces of evidence to be unsecured, misplaced and lost in the police department’s building. He also allegedly mishandled a felony case file and failed to process traffic tickets. Trooper Scott Moreau says former dispatcher Nicholas Desselle is also in trouble…
