State Police has launched an internal investigation into injuries to several cadets during defensive tactics training. Ten cadets reportedly suffered bruises and broken bones. L-S-P Colonel Kevin Reeves says injuries to cadets during training do occur…

Forecasters are keeping their eyes on the tropics as the National Hurricane Center has given a low-pressure system just off the coast of southern Mexico a 50-percent chance of developing into at least a tropical depression over the western and central Gulf of Mexico later this week. An Air Force Reserve reconnaissance plane is scheduled to investigate the system this afternoon.
