It will be a warm day today, but a strong cold front is coming. We will see widespread showers later today and after the rain moves out, winds will shift out of the north at 15 to 20 miles per hour. Temperatures will drop below 30-degrees north of I-20. It will be even colder Tuesday night as temps will fall into the mid-20s in south Lousiana on Wednesday morning.

Ruston receives a 17-million dollar federal transportation grant to transform the city’s connection with Louisiana Tech. Mayor Ronny Walker says the money will go towards building seamless transition of streets, bike paths, and walkways leading from downtown Ruston to the Tech campus.
