A worker at Cat’s Meow Karaoke Bar on Bourbon Street was fatally shot early Sunday morning. New Orleans Police say the victim was hit by a stray bullet. Authorities have arrested the suspected shooter, 24-year-old Daphney Jackson and he’s been charged with manslaughter.

Vice President Kamala Harris is expected in the Bayou State today to highlight the allocation of federal dollars to expand rural broadband access.
