A St. Landry Parish pastor accused of sexual misconduct with a juvenile has turned himself in. Father Steven Michael Guidry allegedly molested a 16-year-old at the priest’s home in Morrow. Authorities say Father Guidry told detectives he provided the victim with alcohol and sexually assaulted the teen.

US Senator John Kennedy says he remains undecided on whether he’ll run for governor next year, but admits there are groups encouraging him to do so. Earlier this week, Kennedy called for Governor John Bel Edwards to resign, becuase of his handling of the budget. ULM political science Professor Joshua Stockley calls it a surprising move by the junior senator….

The state transportation department says they’ve found a contractor who says they can repair the I-210 bridge in Lake Charles in one-year, a much faster timeline than original estimates. Transportation Secretary Shawn Wilson says they’ve made changes to the project to knock down the estimated time for repair…
