The state continues to report thousands of new COVID cases every day and the number of COVID patients in the hospital continues to climb. Hospitalizations have surpassed 12-hundred. Just three weeks ago, Louisiana was reporting about 200 COVID hospitalizations.

Tonight’s Powerball jackpot of 610-million dollars is the seventh-largest jackpot in the multi-state lottery game’s history. Louisiana Lottery spokesperson Kim Chopin says there hasn’t been a Powerball jackpot winner since October 4th and the top prize has grown quite a bit.
