Governor Landry says the state will not opt-in for Summer EBT because it’s pandemic-related and there are other programs available so every child will be able to receive the meals they need throughout the summer. But New Orleans Democrat Representative Matthew Willard says Summer EBT is vital for children to receive proper nutrition when they are not in school.
