According to the C-D-C, Louisiana is tied with South Carolina for the highest flu activity in the country. State health officers Doctor Joe Kanter says Louisiana loses between 500 and a thousand lives to flu every year….

State Police are trying to determine what happened on Saturday night after a man died after tased by a police officer. Officers were patrolling Shreveport’s Broadmoor area, because of a recent rise in burglaries. L-S-P officers say they approached a man on a bicycle who fled and once caught was uncooperative and tased to be taken into a custody. He died a short time later.
